It's Jon's second year on the soccer team. Seeing he's serious about the sports, we got him his first pair of cleats, but I shan't go into how many places I went on my own, before having to drag the rest of the family to a fifth place for the one that fitted him!

A month after practice started, the team played their first game of the season, yesterday. It was a pretty intense one, and as you can see, all of them were out to put their best foot forward!

They almost beat the other team, if not for a tie in the last few minutes! But as with any game or sports, it's not all about winning, but doing your best, and there's nothing like great team spirit and just being able to hang out together!

Soccer siblings, who'd come with many a camera-toting soccer mom and dad, also found their own "heap" of fun on the sides!

The weather was lovely, though at a low of 12C, it got pretty chilly when the wind began to blow. Ben started out with one layer over his long-sleeved tee, then added a second, but was able to peel it off when the sun came out, and the skies turned a nice bright blue by late afternoon!

And since we were out, why not take advantage of the coolest weather all season? This was where we headed next.... stay tuned!

Jon looks really pro with his soccer kicks, way to go little man!
Thanks, Priscilla... we're trying to tell him to run smart, not run so hard all the time... especially when the ball looks like it'll be out for sure! Hehe!
Applies to everything else... us and our housework, how to be smart about it, too ;p
