Lay in the sun, count our blessings

It was a beautiful day and setting...

For a beautiful couple's wedding!

What a joy it was for us to share in their special day.

I was also reminded of how much LOVE I am blessed with.

"Let us lay in the sun and count every beautiful thing we see"
I've been feeling more stressed. But stopping to gaze is good, even when as the autumn chill sets in and we can't literally go bask in the sun.

Counting our blessings, that's one way to help me not lose track of being "too blessed to be stressed" on those more overwhelming days.

Deep breaths, yah...
And carry on!

Back to school

It's back to school!

We survived our first week!

This is my kindergartener... with her backpack, the one that fits the class folder. It is as "small" as she is, I know, right, lol!
She's got it in her stride. Still I remind her, we've got your back, my baby!

Activities are back in full swing also. On the first day itself, I counted eight other sports teams practising where I dropped off one son, before heading over to the next point to drop other son off for something else.

Our schedules have filled up fast!

Soccer alone for both boys happen five days a week.
Yeah, back-to-school days are exciting... and exhausting!

No turning back now... I'd better also shoo us off to bed earlier!

Hello, Minnie!

It's going to be her birthday!

During a Costco run over the weekend, Kait beamed me a BIG smile when she laid eyes on Minnie! And she said, "I call being twins with her!"!

I also came across a new dress for her to have some dress up fun in. Kait has had a tea party in it, with Minnie of course, and 'blown' candles on a toy cake!

As we count down to her birthday, I am also doing the sentimental mommy thing, looking through some older pics. Can't believe she is going to be five! How. Time. Flies!

Thank you Lord for your faithfulness through the years, through changes and stressful times. We would not have made it if not also for the encouragement and support from our loved ones and friends. Because someone cared. Because someone prayed. Thank you!

We'll be returning to this park for Kait to celebrate her birthday with her friends...

Aug '09, around her first birthday was the first time I took the kids to this splash pad.

Is she looking forward to it? You bet!

Special thanks to my faraway gfs for going out of their way to send us gifts also!
